Finally! We have all perservered to the end of 2006.
Oh my. Time sure flies. It only seems like yesterday when I just met my Novitas1 OG members. But now I am already an OGL and ready to welcome a new batch of J1s in 2 days like how I was welcomed 1 year ago. I just can't believe that 2006 just shot past me like that. Of course, one of the things I began in 2006 was to start this blog. I find it pretty meaningful as it is slowly recording my year down. As I look through my blog archives, I realise that I have been gradually changing and I have probably never experienced that many ups and downs in any other year. The times when I were happy, times when I were sad, disappointed, experiencing mixed emotions.
2006. My 1st year in Junior College. And how much I have learnt from this precious year. Trust me, this year will forever be remembered by me. It is the year when I first stepped into Orchard. First found out what is "town". First found out that there are actually fun games like pool and mahjong. First found out that Singapore is not only made of "Bishan". First found out how fun life can be. I found happiness. More than I ever found in my life. I found freedom. I found friends. Many new friends. This year probably could not have been more impactful in me. I still remember the first person who talked to me in AJC. A school whose food I was never proud of =) But still, a school where AJCians belong, where my friends belong, where I belong. The first 3 months of this year was one of my most fun-filled period ever. Skipping lessons, going out to play, eating dinner together. That's the spirit! It was like an extended holiday, but with new friends. We came together from everywhere, yet we acted as one. Honestly, I still miss the first 3 months. But I began to accept that 13/06 was over. 22/06 came before I really could take it in. The frantic part of the year began. I became an exco member in PS. The workload increased. There was always constantly something to handle. And with a flash the prelims came and went. The promos came as soon as the prelims left and oh my, before I could catch my breath, PW OP was here. And soon. Everything was over.
The rush of the year had totally left me breathless. I began to count the milestones I had this year. All the things I have experienced. 21st April. 1st August. I believe these are the 2 dates which made me fall the most, and at the same time, I learnt the most from them.
Oh yes. With a new year comes new year resolutions.
I have decided to:
1. Play less
2. Be
slightly more serious(& less lame)
3. Study harder
4. Have a better year
So. The year is over. 2006 has come to an end. 2007 is here.
Happy New Year pple!
