Its been 1 week in Charlie Coy 48th BSLC. It had felt like a month.
Life in Charlie Coy is.. physically and mentally challenging.
As compared to the moments spent in Charlie Coy, the days spent in Orion Coy seemed slack and relaxed.
Apparently, we didn't get a warm welcome from our sergeants on the first day.
I arrived at Pasir Labar camp much earlier than the reporting time: 7.50am.
God, the place was crowded. I took a little too long to pay my cab fare, and the not-so-polite porter wearing a 2nd sergeant rank promptly tossed my duffel bag to the side of the road, opened the cab door, and asked me to get out of the cab. It seemed like there was this endless trail of cars following behind me.
Ok.. so I went into Pasir Labar Camp where I found out I got posted to Charlie Coy.
I thought it was ok. But apparently not as well as I thought.
I can't go into details regarding the physical training we go through. For one, it may be a classifed restricted military high profile secret *ya right* ; For another, I am going to take too long to go into details and it will all just sound like Arabic to non-army personnel (Unless you already know Arabic).
In short, life in Charlie Coy is:
1. A 40 minutes long 13AX every morning. (13 Advanced Exercises)
2. Where confinement is given out like free tissue.
3. Late book out and early book in.
4. Intense physical regime (OC aims to achieve 60% IPPT Gold)
5. Where there are no carrots.
6. So much running that we probably run more than the OCS people.
7. Where you only need 1 Bruneian to make life hell.
While there are times where the going gets tough, the morale gets low, we must keep going. There are times when it is psychologically depressing. There are times where it is physically draining. But we must go on, no matter what, because we are the future commanders from Charlie 48th BSLC. With pride we lead.
Anyway, on the bright side, there are a tonne of people I know who are suffering with me in Charlie Coy =P
From 1-3, amazingly, there's 4 of us for a mini secondary school class gathering.
Victor, Jia Xin, Samuel and me.
Jia Xin is even in the same bunk as me. His holiness. Omg sia.
There's also Evan from my platoon in BMTC, Yong Hua from CHS and Wee Keong. Haha. Didn't expect to see so many people I knew in Charlie Coy.
By the way, its still a plus point if someone shoots the Brunei guy. Yea.
