Poor Pluto was disqualifed as a planet on the 25th of August.
The reason was cos Pluto did not fit into the new definition of a planet. So what exactly is a planet today?
Quoted from an article:
"According to the new definition, a full-fledged planet is an object that orbits the sun and is large enough to have become round due to the force of its own gravity. In addition, a planet has to dominate the neighborhood around its orbit.
Pluto has been demoted because it does not dominate its neighborhood. Charon, its large "moon," is only about half the size of Pluto, while all the true planets are far larger than their moons.
In addition, bodies that dominate their neighborhoods, "sweep up" asteroids, comets, and other debris, clearing a path along their orbits. By contrast, Pluto's orbit is somewhat untidy."
The moral of the story:
If you finally get promoted, jolly well make sure that everyone stays far behind you. And clean up your working cubicle. Or sooner or later, the people who promoted you will meet up and demote you again. Reason: Becos you aren't big enough. And becos you are dirty.

Hahahahaha. Today is such a funny day. Reunited with an ex-classmate today with the help of Zk. Cos there was someone whom I found extremely familiar when I saw her in AJ about a few weeks ago. Wonder why I never saw her before after so many months. Anyway I decided to ask Zk to help me ask her abt her pri sch. And he does things extremely direct indeed.
It took him less than 1 day to inform me that her pri sch was indeed KCP. As I thought so. But her name doesnt seem to ring a bell in me. Which is unlikely if she was my classmate in KCP. I cant possibly have forgotten everyone's name.
So Zk dragged me all the way to meet her. In front of a huge group of gals all from her class. Omg sia. It was dam awkward lo.
She confirmed that she was from KCP. But not from my class. Then she said that we were from the same kindergarden class! Omg sia. Wad a great memory! And that sure triggered some of that tiny memory in me. HAHAHAHA. My classmate of 11 years ago! Hi again! We meet in AJ after 11 years! =D Lol.
Finally PS stopped CCA today. I rushed through all my remaining work which was still uncompleted. And amazingly, I settled everything all by today! Cheers! I am free till the end of promos!
I went to dig through my ancient photo album. Found photos that were 11 years old. Hahahaha. Lol. She sure does looks the same after 11 years. I think my blog song really fits my mood now. Hahaha.
Anw. That's abt it. Today was the last day of Term 3. Tmr's celebrations. So we are free for 1 week+! =D I am so looking foward to meeting more of my ex-classmates. Haven't found any of my classmates from KCP ever since I left the sch. Didn't leave any contacts.. sadly. I will just depend on fate to bring me to my classmates again =)

To superimpose one's authority on another. What one have achieved is to control another physically. But mentally, one have failed utterly. So what if one have achieved to make another do one's bidding? Have one really achieved anything? Have one won over the other? The other cannot object. For one is in authority. The weak can only submit to those in power. Yet those in power are not in full control of the weak. So be it. For the weak are not allowed to speak. Revolutions are crushed. Supression. There is only so much thou can do. ------------------------------------------------------------------
Saw this video today. I totally puked. Want a share of pukes? Presenting to you... Weixue of 30/06 http://youtube.com/watch?v=6tL_C_4QVMk Remember to on your speaker loud loud hor!
On a brighter note, do you know that when Mentos is mixed with Diet Coke, a fountain will be created? The Diet Coke will shoot out of the bottle and propel high into the sky. As in HIGH. like 2m into the sky. And here's a nice video. Enjoy =)
I am so proud of myself. I actually did all my homework =O Hahahaha.
Dunno wad inspired me to do so. Some pple think its cos I was reading entertaining blogs. And I got entertained enough to do my homework. But I doubt so. Was just in the mood I guess.
Maths test wasn't a disaster as I expected. It wasn't that bad. Wasn't good either. I guess a pass would satisfy me. If I get it.
I am starting to lose track of time. Promos are only round the corner. A very short corner. And I am still so afraid that I won't pass promos. I never did plan for my future. But if I dun make it to J2 I dunno if I will even continue studying. I dun want to fail my promos..
So. The 1 month countdown begins then. GP. Chinese. Maths. Physics. Economics. Geography. I have planned which subjects I will study. I will pass every subject except Economics. Cos I am hopeless at it. I really hope I pass my Maths and Physics.
Physics tuition today was a disaster. He went thru stuffs dat I have never ever seen before. I hope he goes back onto something that makes sense soon. If not I wun continue after the 1 month is up. It doesn't make sense to go to tuition to confuse myself.
I heard Eddy's birthday is tmr tmr's tmr's tmr. Happy Birthday Eddy. I know he's someone from 21/06. But I dunno him in person. Lol. Happy Birthday anyway.
I have decided to go back on the 31st. Its time for a reunion. I miss everyone back in CHS. And I haven't seen the Herd in something like years. Hi Doug. Hi Tim. If you are reading this. Cya at CJ on the 31st kk? =) Miss you guys.

Things are getting better. At least I think it is. I removed the last entry to practise censorship. Yep. And I know 10 pple read that entry. So umm.. keep it to urself cos after thinking about it.. I think its better that she dun know that I know. =) Dun understand wad I am talking abt? Its ok.
Saw this online translator tool today. Its at http://babelfish.altavista.com I attempted to translate my blog to chinese just now. And I noticed that i have been using terrible english to blog Haha. Cos I nearly died of laughter when I read the translated text.
But the tool does direct translations. Which creates jokes sometimes. For example: "Back to your heart" - Backstreet boys ==> "回到您的心脏" - Backstreet 男孩
Nice translation eh?
"I had the toughest time of my life. First, I got angina pectoris and then arteriosclerosis. Just as I was recovering from these, I got tuberculosis, double pneumonia and phthisis. Then they gave me hypodermics. Appendicitis was followed by tonsillectomy. These gaveway to aphasia and hypertrophic cirrhosis. I completely lost my memory for a while. I know I had diabetes and acute ingestion, besides gastritis, rheumatism, lumbago and neuritis. I don't know how I pulled through it.... It was the hardest spelling test I've ever had."

Its been the 2nd day. I am slowly picking up the pieces. Hoping to pick myself back up again. But I know how fragile it is It could easily shatter to a zillion pieces again
It was a long night. I am starting to understand how someone felt. The sense of helplessness. Wanting someone to be beside me. An aimless wander. Not knowing what to do. Not thinking of the consequences. Feeling devastated.
On the other hand, the perspective of the one worrying. Worrying for the person. Afraid that the person might do the wrong things. Wanting to find that person. To bring that person back. Or to just be with that person to ensure the safety of that person.
I have been through both perspectives. How ironic. I have seen such stuffs happening on TV one too many times. Yet I find it happening to me. Like a dream. Yet so real.
Should I laugh? Should I cry? My life will never be the same again. There's no such thing as a simplistic life. The simple life which I have longed for. Soon I come to realise how impossible it is. Fate will always work itself against you. And somehow I always fall a victim to fate Never to turn my destiny back again.
Sometimes I envy the life of people in poorer countries. They may be poorer, their life is a routine. But at least they don't have to suffer mentally. Because their life has become so simple that they barely have to think. And it is so simple that they can avoid all the stress people in developed societies are going through.
So what if I have a higher standard of living? Do I get a better life?
And so my life is so complicated now. All I can do is declare: Life sux.
And that's all I can do. For I know if I try to push against fate, I get pushed back harder.
And I wonder. How is it possible that the more you aim for something, the further away it gets?
I tell people not to do anything foolish no matter how depressed they are. But I wonder if I can practise what I preach. When I am in their shoes, I realise how easy it is to forget all the advices that everyone has given previously.
Yet I will take in anything said to me when I am feeling down. All the rational stuff. The irrational stuff. It pushes me forward. The correct way? The wrong way? I have gone down both paths. And I am glad I found the right path in the end. But as I moved down the wrong path, I had already done damages which are irreversible. And I have to live with it. To bear the consequences which I have never thought of. When one gets irrational, there are so many things one will do which even oneself will never ever expect.
"And yet I still long for that simple life that will never come..."

I dunno wad to say. Too many things have been happening to me lately.
I am really on the edge this time. I know noone knows wad happened to me. I don't plan to tell many pple either.
But today i was seriously on the verge of a breakdown. Nevertheless I still tried my best to look normal. Nearly broke down when Ken asked if I was alright today. But I held back.
I feel so distressed now. All this stuff shouldn't be something I should be going through at this point of time. I don't understand why my life is like shit now.
But I have made promises. I will continue to live on. For the sake of everyone around me. I will live on.
But the stress... Its suffocating me. And the pain... Its torturing me.

Today was even busier. But tommorow will be busiest. Lol.
I mixed up the timetable between wed and thur. Thought that I had a break at 11:45 So I made arrangements to meet Miss Lee at the wrong time. Came to class at 12:05 in the end.
Chi was super short. Though I dunno y. Class ended at 12:55 which was around 50 min early. Went to AMK for lunch with Marcus, Joan and Gary since it was so early. Met up with Zheng Kai, Ken and Jewel at the bus stop. So we went for lunch tgt.
I think ZK should eat more home-made chicken rice ;) Lol.
PS was another busy day. Not a really good start since I heard there was going to be a meeting with Ms Goh after the ps session. That meant we will see the sunset before going home.
Tried to move a notice board from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor today. Tried to ask Spencer to help. But obviously it was pointless. Gd thing I met Geng Liang outside the staffroom. He generously offered to help me move the board. Thanks a lot!!! =))
The meeting was supposed to be a short one that would take around 10~20 minutes. It only took 1 hour and 10 minutes. I expected 2 hours+ But that's a short meeting. I remember the last long one. The difference between the short meeting and the long meeting is that in the former, everyone appears to be observing the air molecules in front of their eyes, while in the latter, everyone seems to be negligent that there's even a meeting going on.
Left school at 7:30pm. I didn't feel right when I stepped out of the dark room. Felt like I forgot something. Realised that I left my thumbdrive back in the dark room when I reached Bishan. Argh. Now I can't upload my files. Nvm. There's still tmr.
Took a nice shot of Jia Min today. Got another shot of Han Bin. Might see the 1st one online sometime soon. But about the 2nd one.. Someone is screaming murder if I ever uploaded it. Lol. 'Emotion' is the best title for that photo =))

Busy busy day. Decided to take out some time to blog cos I am totally stuck on PW. Been searching in avail for nearly 3 hours. I really can't find any statistics online. Sianz.
School was busy. One of the boards of the photo exhibition fell into disrepair only on Day 2. As I expected, the boards wun be able to stand for a week. The stuffs are just too heavy to be held there for so long. Spent one break redoing the board. As I was fixing it up, a photo from another board dropped to the floor behind me. I guess I will just have to keep fixing the boards up for a week.
Physics extra lessons today as usual. And as usual, my brain died out and absorbed 0% info. Sigh. Will I ever pass Physics?
Lol Ken must have been surprised today. He was following me, Joan and Marcus. Den when we reached the porch, Marcus headed out of the school, Joan headed for the canteen, I went to the staffroom.
All in 3 different directions altogether. And Ken was like.. huh? Lols.
Stayed around in sch till 6pm. Wanted to meet Miss Lee to collect my money. But I gave up at 6pm. She smsed me at 6:07pm to tell me that her meeting was over. But sadly, my hp inbox was full. I didn't know that she smsed me. Found out at 6:17. I was already in Bishan then. Hais.
Still stuck on that super tough Physics question. And I don't understand some other stuffs. Trying to do PW. Achieving nothing. What a bother.
Ken asked me today whether I ever regretted coming to JC. Considering how busy life was in JC. As a matter of fact, yes. JC life is too tough. But I know poly life doesnt suit me. Its either JC or nth. That's why I am here.
I found out that I was in the lowest 20% across the level. Apparently they highlighted the subjects to indicate the subjects which everyone scored in the higher percentile and in the lowest percentile. I had none highlighted. I don't get it. So why am I in the lowest 20%? Oh well.

ARGH. How the heck did Mon come already?
Anyway got something to clarify. Although I was expected to do the announcement on the photo exhibition this morn, I didn't go up cos I was refused the honor of doing so. Lol. I volunteered ok? But they insisted that they wanted to do it instead. Ah. Noone will ever believe me >_< Nvm that.
Mon is as boooooooooooring as usual. The lessons are boring that is.
I only didn't do my GP, Econs, PW, Maths and Physics. What's the fuss? =))
Went to eat with Marcus, Joan and Ken after sch. After much decision, we decided to go to Ajisen Ramen. Laughed our way to J8. I cant rmb wad we were laughing at. Oh yes. We were laughing at pairs and pears. Lol.
It took some level of difficulty to finish dinner cos I was laughing and choking over it. But I succeeded anw.
Marcus and Ken came over to my house to pass the time b4 tuition. I think Marcus explored my whole house inside out. And my computer after that. Nothing interesting found. My house and computer is very clean =))
Tuition today was extremely ??? He nicely taught us a qn involving 7 unknowns. Of cos that wasn't very hard. To him that is.
So he gave us homework on moments You know how questions like these come with something like a pulley and stuffs? And maybe 2 points like A and B? Mine got A, B, C, D, E, F, G, P, Q and R. Sounds gd. If I don't end up in the mental hospital half-way thru the question that is.
Anyway. Gotta do my GP. Buh bye then.

Toyota Vios Ad
Saw this Toyota ad while surfing youtube today. Lol.
I got tagged. This is a very long tag. So here goes.
INSTRUCTIONS 1. Put your music player on shuffle. 2. Press forward for each question. 3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING! 4. Tag 10 people to play this game too. 5. Bold the questions and answers that swack
How are you feeling today? "Ring Ring Ring" - S.H.E I dunno how a phone feels!
Will you get far in life? "心爱" That means something, but I haven't figured it out yet. Next.
How do your friends see you? "宝贝快睡" - 5566 All my friends want me to sleep. Yea! That's right. Everyone's been telling me to sleep early lately XD
Will you get married? "天灰" - S.H.E I got no idea what the title means. So I got no idea whether I will ever get married. But it sounds negative lol. Perhaps I never will.
What is your best friend's theme song? "珊瑚海" - Jay I dunno. Anyone like this song out there?
What is the story of your life? "髮如雪" - Jay Wah. It means my hair is all white. Omg la. I don't want white hair!! >_<
What was high school like? "Crawling Back To You" - Backstreet Boys I remember spending most of my time standing or sitting. So i guess this doesn't fit.
How can you get ahead in life? "為我好" - 梁静如 I can get ahead in life by being nice to myself? Or others?
What is the best thing about your friends? "煎熬" - 5566 Hmm are they very enduring? I think so. Anyone complained about some tiring stuff lately?
What is in store for this weekend? "Back to Your Heart" - Backstreet Boys No don't think I was ever in someone's heart recently. Hmm. Maybe that's a literal meaning. Anyone's heart can fit a 50kg mass? Anyway this weekend's all PW and stuffs. =(
What song describes you? "Honey" - 王心凌 I am super sweet =D
To describe your grandparents? "Borriquito" LOL. Don't think my grandparents can dance to this. Nor have they ever danced this. Its a Latin song lol. They don't listen to Latin.
How is your life going? "注定" - 品冠 Hmm. Everything in my life is fated? Should I accept fate? Must I?
What song will they play at your funeral? "黑色毛衣" - Jay. Omg pls don't. I want a song which I can hear! (Lol Joan will uds this)
How does the world see you? "在你和天之间" - 赵子必 I am between myself and the sky? That doesn't make any sense.. its like saying 1 is between 0 and 1.
Will you have a happy life? "尋找" - 范玮琪 I dunno whether I will have a happy one, but I will definitely be searching for one?
What do your friends really think of you? "远走高飞" - 李胜杰 They want me to bring them far far away? To where? Sentosa? the zoo? Lol.
Do people secretly lust after you? "睫毛弯弯" - 王心凌 ??? That doesn't give me an answer. Oh well.
How can you make yourself happy? "泛泛之辈" - Kenji Wu Does that mean I will be happy as long as I am not myself? I won't want to do that. I want to live a life that is myself.
What should you do with your life? "只对你有感觉" I should do something with my life. I haven't derived anything from this song though. Perhaps to have feelings towards only one person?
Will you ever have children? "如果有一天" - 梁静如 Lol. That's like the best answer ever. If one day i ever...
10 people to do this: 1. Gerald 2. Jewel 3. Joan 4. Joey 5. Ken 6. Lydia 7. Pui Kit 8. Teck Ching 9. Terrence 10. Wei Lie
I am surprised JJ's songs didn't turn up. I got quite a few of those..
Wad a long day.. Been working for 7.5 hours straight.
Went to cover the Singapore Special Olympics today. Its held once every 4 years. And AJ hosted it this year =o Now I know why it's called the special olympics. Its becos the participants are special. They are intellectually less capable people in the society. And they have special needs and attention.
Anyway it was 7 hours spent under the hot sun. Taking photos here and there. Oh yes. I did a favour for Jin Hao today. (I wonder how many pple know who this is) Dun be surprised if you see him extremely happy today XD
At the end of 7 hours, all of us had nearly collapsed. We got the group photo done and left asap. I was feeling super exhausted from going back and forth.
We happily brought the equipment back to the dark room, unlocked the door, opened it and triggered the alarm. Of cos we didn't know that we had triggered it. It was a silent alarm. And of cos we didn't know that they activated the alarm on the door or we wouldn't have opened it.
Me and Spencer were doing up the boards for the exhibition when the security guard approached us. And we got a lecture for opening the door after the alarm had been activated. A long lecture. Apparently he called the police after that or something to say that it was a false alarm. Anyway how were we supposed to know that the alarm would activate at that time?
So we had no choice but to leave the school. Met Mr Lim Kok Wee at the gate. He was driving out so we opened the gate for him (how helpful). Den he got out of his car. I was wondering what was wrong. And he started talking abt the alarm again. Wah Lau. Spare us can?
This is so super troublesome.
Oh yes. Did I mention? The main reason why they were so super concerned about us triggering the alarms was becos if it was a false alarm, the vendor would be fined. And of cos the school will have to pay it. Ah yes. That's the reason why.
"The money issue. AGAIN. AS USUAL."

Hahs. So generally its about done already. 'My Blogthings' will be moved to a new page at http://laixinchu.googlepages.com/myblogthings.
Ahh.. wad a long and tiring day. Had PS after sch today. I only found out abt the session this morning =/ Anyway the photo exhibiton has been successfully set up outside the auditorium. Do visit it some time next week. =))
I was sitting outside the dark room today. Den I looked up at the sky. The instant I saw it, I jumped, ran into the dark room and grabbed a camera. Reason?
Click on the pics to enlarge them
What a rare sight indeed. It lasted for a few minutes.

Thur passed in a flash.
Happy Birthday Charissa =))
My legs are still as bad as ever. Jewel tried to explain the cause of it though. Its because when I exercised my legs so much, it released some lactic acid which caused the muscle ache. Then the toxic from the lactic acid is the one currently causing the pain in my legs. The reason why my legs are hurting for so long is cos I didn't rest that night. Get it? Well I don't. Lol.
Anw I went for my 1st ever tuition in my life today. Its a new experience. Physics. Hmm. I think this tuition gave me a new perspective. I wonder if Mr Lim really do surf blogs but... omg la that tutor really pwned Mr Lim big time. Lol. Ok he's a good tutor. But I dunno if I have enough time. 1.5 months to promo. Jia you ba.

My legs are nowhere near getting better. In fact it got worse.
I am semi-crippled now.
Oh ya. I realised how super observant Miss Lee is. I was walking with her from the staff room to the general office. Den we walked from the door to the stairs. And she suddenly turned around and asked: What's wrong with your legs? Wah. To think pple can be ard me the whole day and not notice a thing =/
Anyway if I don't turn up in sch tmr, it means i just got officially crippled. Cos I don't have crutches at home to go to sch with.
PS was another kinda long day. Spent some time chatting with Sean. Talked about Cat High. About AJ. About army. About many random things. Hmm.
That's about it then. I was a bit sleepy today also. Will sleep slightly earlier tonight =)) Hopefully noone will be seeing me online at 1am. If you see me online and its late. Tell me to go to sleep. Thanks.

Today was the most extraordinary day ever. I did some stuffs which I can't believe I would have ever thought of doing so. But pardon me, cos I wun be going into any details of sorts.
Was feeling kinda tired today. Not much energy to speak nor do anything. And my legs were aching terribly. Mr Seow thought I wasn't feeling well. Cos I was falling asleep for no specific reason. Yep. I wasn't feeling that well. Was tired.
Maths went super slowly. Cos I wanted it to end asap. And time tends to move much more slowly when you will it to speed up. Thought of poning Physics. But didn't. Slept a bit in Physics. But I managed to copy all my notes anyway =d
Didn't go for Economics. I spent the next 2 hours sleeping in the Nexus. Felt a bit more energy left in me after that. But was super groggy. I still didn't have a hold on my own senses up till halfway into Physics. My body was like moving on its own while my mind just wanted to sleep.
Alright. Nothing much happened for the day. I found out some stuffs though. I am deciding whether to follow-up on it.
And if you see this today Chris, remember to bring your thumbdrive tmr. I will try and remember to bring mine too =d

I knew I forgot to take something. I knew it !!! Argh! I forgot to borrow the card reader from the dark room!!! Now I got all these nice pics of fireworks in the camera and I cant take it out =((
Its ok. I will wait till Mon. I must wait!!!
Today was somewhat a hectic day. I was awoken at 11am by my phone ringing. Was kinda groggy and I was thinking: I didn't set my alarm. Why is my phone ringing? So I reached over and shut the ringing off. Then I realised: That was my ringtone. Not my alarm. Oh my. Someone was calling me. LOL. Ok. So Marcus called back again. Invited me out for a movie. Why not?
Went to watch Lake House with Marcus, Joan and Gary. Rated it 4 out of 5. Very original storyline. A nice and fascinating story.
I went home to grab my camera and tripod and we went to Kpool at amk after dat. Pooled till 6pm. I was meeting up with Patrick and the rest at Aljunied at 6:45pm. Den we were going to take pics of the fireworks in some"ulu" place. At first, my timing was perfect. I was meeting up with Chris and Chi Hong and we would all go to watch the fireworks tgt. They are such nice people to accompany me =))
Den Chi Hong said he was hungry. So I tot it wouldn't matter if we spared 10 minutes for dinner. He ate for 30 minutes. After that he wanted bubble tea. It was about 30 shops away. Ok so we were at amk Mrt at 6:45pm. We met up with Joey at Bishan Mrt and off we went to Aljunied. Reached at ard 7:20pm. We weren't the latest surprisingly.
Finished gathering at 7:25pm and began our journey to the spot supposedly 20 minutes away. We waited 5 minutes for the bus, took a 20 minutes bus ride, and walked for 35 minutes. Reached the spot at 8:25pm. That's so like 20 minutes. But as mentioned, it was a super ulu spot. So the only people there were mainly photographers. And people who bothered to travel so far. Mainly couples. Lol. We found an empty spot and settled down. By the time all the settings and stuffs were rdy it was alr 8:55pm. The 4 of us didn't play bridge as planned.
The fireworks were just as beautiful. Enjoyed every moment of it. 12 minutes long. It was just snapping photos after photos. Yep.
Enjoyed myself a lot today. Good thing i dragged the 3 of em along. With me and Chi Hong around, jokes come at 1/sec Lol. We were like laughing and laughing the whole journey. I think some pple must have thought we were crazy. Haha. But I go crazy whenever I am with them. Lol.
But we were kinda worn out on the journey back. Not as much laughing. But it was still fun =))
Most of the seniors went for supper after that. The 4 of us didn't. Cos some of us had already passed the curfew by a few hours (1 hour exceeded the curfew; 5 hours also exceeded. Might as well exceed 5 hours lol) And just in case we were going to miss the last train which was at 11+, we went home.
I had nothing to blog today intitially. But then I suddenly thought of some philosophical stuff. So i decided to write on it. Of cos such stuff gets long and perhaps boring. But I plan to go on with it anyway.
Here's the official blog entry:
After the break, its Fri alr. And its back to another 3-day break again. Gary's back. Welcome back =)) ---- End of Entry ----
Ok. Now back to the topic. I was partly inspired by someone to write this entry.
I was playing Battlefield today. An old game. Very very old. But I ain't gonna talk about the game so there. In this game, people were given awards if they met a certain requirement. Usually people who are supposedly the "pros" are identifed by their awards. However, today I saw some pple without any awards. Yet their skills were equivalent to the "pros" in game. On the other hand, another guy with a couple of awards turned out to be a poor player.
From this, I drew a conclusion: People who appear to be insignificant at times may possess hidden potentials which can't be seen just from the surface. On the other hand, people who appear to be skilled may not be as good as he or she appears to be.
All this is revealed when people are put to the test.
However, not everyone gets the chance to be put to the test. Opportunites come and go, and its up to us whether to grab it. To be put to the test.. it could either topple you for good or push you up to a better position. Life is a gamble. I just lost track of my main topic. Lol. So I will end here then. Gd nitez~

Went pooling for the third time in 3 days. Nothing much to say so I won't. Anyway here's some pics of the fireworks on National Day. They were beautiful.
Pardon the poor quality. I didn't have a tripod. Isn't it much more beautiful when you watch it from Kallang River?
My mind's unweaving/ 8:00 PM
Went down to watch the fireworks today again =)) With Chris, Douglas and Terrence.
Oh my. Tonight's fireworks were fantastic. It was much better than the one at the Esplanade last night. A pity it was so short. Ended in about 3 minutes. But it was beautiful. Yep. It was a full red moon tonight. Yup. Not only was it a full moon, it was a red one too. What a rare sight.
Went for dinner after that. Pepper Lunch.
Pooled till closing time. 11 pm.
Why didn't we use to hang out like this in secondary school? Oh well.
I will be going to watch the fireworks again this Fri. =) Maybe I will finish watching all of em. Haha.
Anyway I came across this video. CHS Graduation Video 2005. Enjoy =)

Oh yea. Just remembered something. I forgot to comment on the lovely Nd celebrations ytd.
No offence meant here. This is constructive criticism. I criticise 1st and think later. So don't be offended but what I say. Thanks.
One short video will get your audience's attention for a while. One long video will get your audience's attention for a while before starting to get them distracted. Two long videos will tell them that they should start talking to their friends and getting out their handphones to sms pple. Three long videos will tell your audience to go and sleep and wait till the whole thing is over.
I don't understand why three long videos were placed as part of the celebrations. It totally bores the audience out.
But I did watch through all 3 videos. And I was placing my attention on the performance for the first 90% of the show. Maybe that's why I was still feeling energized after the celebrations. While everyone was feeling tired.

Ok la. Hven't been so happy for some time. Thanks a lot to everyone who came today.
9 of us gathered for lunch after the celebrations. Went to eat at NYP. Got me, marcus, joan, ken, lydia, xue qin, desmond, wayne and leon. wayne and desmond left for pool after lunch. xue qin left to go home for sth. Patrick joined us at lunchtime. No not Patrick the starfish. its the basketballer. XD
So the rest of us went to town =)) And I was saying, lets go watch fireworks at esplanade tonight at 9 k? it was 12pm then. 9 hours to fill up.
Went shopping around. Went for a movie at 1:20pm
龙虎门。 I rated it 3 out of 5. Ok I would say the fight scenes were good. The main thing about this movie revolves around the fight scenes. But coming to the story line ar.. how would I say it? 简直是一塌糊涂!
We went back to shopping at Heerens after that. Joan bought some new specs.
Went pooling at Lucky Plaza. Till about 6+. Patrick, Lydia and Leon left. So theres 4 of us left. Me, Joan, Marcus and Ken.
We went to Seoul Garden for dinner. I am still wondering how I got convinced to go there. My 1st time there anyway. As Marcus says, there's always a first time. We ate for abt 2 hrs. Quite fun there lol. We came up with a tonne of lame jokes. And I was laughing and laughing so hard that my stomach was hurting. Joan was laughing and laughing cos she said that I looked funny when I was laughing so hard. So she was laughing. .................................................. Ok. Damn cool man. Lol.
Walked by this person as we were leaving. After that person did something, Marcus and I promptly found the closest wall and smashed our heads on it. I will tell you what that person did next time.
Took the MRT down to City Hall. I heard this announcement going on for the 1st time: The MRT station is flooded at the moment. If you are not taking the train, please leave the MRT station now.
I can see why that announcement is going on and on. The MRT station looked like there was the Great Singapore Sale going on. Just people, people and more people.
We began walking to the Esplanade. It was basically just following the crowd. There were a tonne of people alr there. Pple all rdy and settled down and waiting for the fireworks. We went to the bridge near the Esplanade.
The fireworks began. It was beautiful. Especially the finale fireworks. That one was so fantastic that everyone clapped. I loved dat part too.
Lessons have been passing rapidly ever since we moved to 111. Perhaps its cos most of the lessons are now in the same room so we are hardly moving. Makes it seems as if we aren't having a lot of lessons. Cos last time we had to change venue for every next period.
Hven't seen Gary for ages. Hope he's resting well. =)) We are missing ya.
Maybe I've been too distracted lately alrdy. I should get a hold on my concentration.
Tmr is NDP celebrations. I suppose I will go. I remember I didn't go for the celebrations last year. Miss Saras gave me a lecture for that. Something about how important it is to celebrate the nation's birthday. Yea wadever. If you say so. Happy Birthday Singapore. Yea.
Simple Plan - Welcome To My Life Album: Still Not Getting Any
Do you ever feel like breaking down? Do you ever feel out of place? Like somehow you just don't belong And no one understands you Do you ever wanna run away? Do you lock yourself in your room? With the radio on turned up so loud That no one hears you screaming No you don't know what it's like When nothing feels alright You don't know what it's like to be like me To be hurt To feel lost To be left out in the dark To be kicked When you're down To feel like you've been pushed around To be on the edge of breaking down And no one's there to save you Welcome to my life Do you wanna be somebody else? Are you sick of feeling so left out? Are you desperate to find something more Before your life is over? Are you stuck inside a world you hate? Are you sick of everyone around? With the big fake smiles and stupid lies While deep inside you're bleeding No one ever lies straight to your face And no one ever stabbed you in the back You might think I'm happy But I'm not gonna be ok! Everybody always gave you what you wanted You never had to work it was always there You don't know what it's like What it's like! No you don't know what it's like (what it's like)

Sian. I know its 1 am. But I don't feel like sleeping. Cos I don't feel like going to sch tommorow.
Can't I just stay at home all day and rot? I don't feel like doing anything anymore. Don't feel like doing homework. Don't feel like studying. Don't feel like sleeping. Don't feel like going to school anymore.
So tired. Very very very tired. Mentally. Not physically.
Wad a bother. You know how people can die from overworking? Maybe if I stay up late all night I will just suddenly die or sth? I dunno wad I am talking abt. Nvm.

And support my issue on the canteen food...
Hais. If I ran away from home, will anyone out there provide shelter for me? Dunno. Just a thought. If I got into an accident tommorow, will anyone come visit me? Dunno. Just a thought. If I somehow died tommorow, will anyone cry for me? Dunno. Just a thought.

I didn't mention I was going to kill myself. When I mentioned eternal rest, I meant lying around all day just resting. A lifetime of leisure. Yea. Not death. It means becoming a social bum.
Anyway I figured out why its better to exercise 1st and eat later instead of eating 1st and exercising later. Today I carried my CPU to the computer shop. Burnt 15kJ of energy. Then I went to eat. And I felt full. That was lunch.
At dinnertime, I went to eat 1st before carrying my CPU back home. Burnt another 15kJ of energy. Now I am hungry again. Argh. Next time I study how much energy I should take in. Then I eat enough food to cover that extra energy I need to do labour work. Hmm.
There are reasons why I am feeling so down lately. I can't talk to my dad without ending up in a yelling competition. I dunno why. I am unhappy with the fact that he doesnt give a damn abt me. He's super inconsiderate. I know my mom's constantly helping me. And defending me. But when she's nt around, I end up quarreling with my dad again. I really cant take this anymore. I don't feel like going home. My dad comes home much earlier than my mom. And I have to risk a quarrel for a few hours. I don't want my mom to dispute with my dad becos of me either. I rather stay out and dun come home. There's a lot of stress building on me lately. Hais...
My mom keeps telling not to run away from home despite all this. She hopes I can just bear with it. And I suppose I will stay put for her sake. For now.
Staying out late and not going home. Is that a solution?
"Cant I just run away and never come back?"

We live in a world today called the 'infernal paradox'
In this world, we try to make everything move more smoothly. We try to make improvements. We try to make our lives better.
But we end up giving ourselves more problems. We tend to do more. Our lives get busier just solving the problems arising from our so called 'solutions'. This. Is. The Infernal Paradox.
Huh? You might think. Wadever has this got to do with anything? Its cos of my stupid com. Its supposed to aid me in my tasks. But ever since the damn thing died I been feeling sooo helpless. And now I got a tonne of problems! Wah lau eh. The infernal paradox..
Maths. Chinese. PW. Econs. Physics. I can do it.
Sorry if I appeared kinda moody today. Cos I was. Hope I didn't affect many pple cos of my mood. I once told a group of people that if I ever one day appeared unusually quiet, there must be something wrong with me. I guess they didn't take me seriously. Cos I was nearly silent today. And noone noticed a thing. Nvm. I shouldn't expect any concern anw. I am undeserving. Was feeling kinda mentally tired today. It affected me so much that I felt physically tired. How I wish all this would end. But I know it won't. No matter how hard I will it to. Been sleeping early lately. Around 11pm~12am. But as I wake up in the morning, I feel even more tired than when I sleep at 2am.
On a brighter note, Bishan Library will be opening on the 2nd of September. Yep. That's the official opening date. One month from now. Come to Bishan Library in future ok?
"Only eternal rest can cure all tiredness now. Or is it?"
Thursday. The usual boring day. PE. GP. Chinese. Nothing significant happened at all.
I can’t fix my com. I think I will bring it down to Sim Lim Square this weekend instead.
Went to watch "Click" with Joan and Marcus today.
I would rate this movie 4 out of 5. No it doesn't have any fantastic animations. It doesn't have a fantastic storyline either. It can barely match up to LOTR. But the message it brought across struck me deeply.
I would seriously recommend this movie to everyone. The reason why I didn't rate it 5 out of 5 was cos of the ending. Its soooo diao.
Anyway the bottom line is.
Every moment of our life is precious. Cherish every second of it. Cherish everyone around you. Your friends, your family, your relatives. One day, when you look back. You will realize how time has passed by. But have you treated the people around you well? Have you lived a meaningful life? Have the people around you benefited from your presence? Or have they suffered?
Have you been indulged in your own work all along? Have you neglected the people around you? Those who really care about you: your parents, your family members, your friends. Have you thought about them no matter what you do?
One day, when someone has left. You will suddenly realize that you have not spent enough time with him/her. Has it been because you never had enough time for him/her? Or have you never thought of spending some time with him/her? You may cry, you may despair. But the person is gone. And in life, there's no such thing as a rewind button. Its too late for regrets. How you would wish you could turn the clock back. How much you would want to go back so you can cherish that moment. But its all too late.
So cherish everyone while you can today. Because tomorrow is too late.
“Time is the one resource you can't afford to waste. Because its a non-renewable resource. And there's only so much of it which each person has. There's no such thing as insufficient time. There's only time well-spent and time wasted.”
I have self-reflected. And I have much regrets. I know I can no longer turn the clock back. So I have decided. I will cherish the present. The past is past. I can only regret the past. But yes I can cherish the present. And bring forward a better future.
The previous entry reminded me of another physics joke I saw long ago. So I dug it out. Enjoy =) This is much easier to comprehend.
THE PHYSICS OF SANTA AND HIS REINDEER
No known species of reindeer can fly. BUT there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not COMPLETELY rule out flying reindeer which only Santa has ever seen.
There are two billion children (persons under 18) in the world. BUT since Santa doesn't appear to handle the Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Buddhist children, that reduces the workload to 15% of the total - 378 million according to Population Reference Bureau. At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that's 91.8 million homes. One presumes there's at least one good child in each.
Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 822.6 visits per second.
This is to say that for each Christian household with good children, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to park, hop out of the sleigh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house. Assuming that each of these 91.8 million stops are evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course, we know to be false but for the purposes of our calculations we will accept), we are now talking about 78 miles per household, a total trip of 750 million miles, not counting stops to do what most of us must do at least once every 31 hours, plus feeding and etc.
This means that Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest man-made vehicle on earth, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4 miles per second - a conventional reindeer can run, tops, 15 miles per hour.
The payload on the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium-sized lego set (two pounds), the sleigh is carrying 321,300 tons, not counting Santa, who is invariably described as overweight. On land, conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300 pounds. Even granting that "flying reindeer" (see above) could pull TEN TIMES the normal amount, we cannot do the job with eight, or even nine. We need 214,200 reindeer. This increases the payload (not even counting the weight of the sleigh) - to 353,430 tons. Again, for comparison - this is four times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth. 353,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance - this will heat the reindeer up in the same fashion as spacecraft re- entering the earth's atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer will absorb 14.3 QUINTILLION joules of energy. Per second. Each.
In short, they will burst into flame almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer behind them, and create deafening sonic booms in their wake. The entire reindeer team will be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second. Santa, meanwhile, will be subjected to centrifugal forces 17,500.06 times greater than gravity. A 250-pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim) would be pinned to the back of his sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force.
In conclusion: If Santa ever DID deliver presents on Christmas Eve, he's dead now.
Aye. Wah lau. I am super suay lo. Was using my com for about 5 min. Zhi yu was trying to convince me to send her the class pic den i was blog surfing. Den BAM! the screen went blank and the com rebooted. Now my com is totally dead. I am blogging from my sis's laptop now. Die die also must come blog >_<

Mr Lim told us today that the Earth actually moves when there's an impact on it. However, the movement is so insignificant that we don't notice it at all. Therefore I decided that being a hardworking student I will try and calculate how much it takes to actually move the Earth by 1 cm.
Mass of Earth = 6.0 x 10^24 kg Weight of Earth = 5.886 X 10^25 J
To move the Earth by 1 cm, Energy needed = Force X Distance = 5.886 X 10^25 J X 0.01m = 5.886 X 10^23 J
Therefore, since K.E. = 0.5mv² 5.886 X 10^23 J = 0.5mv² mv² = 1.1772 X 10^24 J v² = 0.1962 v = 0.443 m/s
=O the Earth only needs a velocity of 0.443m/s to move by 1 cm!
To calculate how much velocity an object needs to move the Earth by 1 cm:
According to the law of conservation of momentum, For a collision occurring between object 1 and object 2 in a system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the two objects after the collision. That is, the momentum lost by object 1 is equal to the momentum gained by object 2.
Therefore, m1v1 = m2v2 Assuming that m1 be a standard object weighing 65kg, (65)(v1) = (6.0 x 10^24 kg )(0.443) v1 = 4.09 X 10^22 m/s
Since it is difficult to achieve that speed from a low altitude, we will assume that the object impacting the Earth is a person falling from free fall. i.e. a person weighing around an average of 65kg
As free fall is at a rate of 9.81 m/s², this person will have to be falling for approximately 4.17 X 10^21 s before such a speed is achieved.
To be falling for so long, this person will have to start at an altitude of 1.71 X 10^44 m. Also, on another side note, the person in question will be falling for approximately 1.32 X 10^14 years.
That is to say that this person in question will be falling for quite some time before data analysis can be recorded.
Assumptions made: 1. There are no dissipating forces (friction). If there were any, the person will be falling for 1.32 X 10^14 years before getting burnt out by air resistance into nothing more than ashes. Thus the experiment would be a failure.
2. The Earth's gravitational forces are able to reach a height of 1.71 X 10^44 m. If the Earth's gravitational forces are unable to reach that height, the person will not be able to start falling, and the poor people down on Earth will be waiting for a miserable 1.32 X 10^14 years only to find out that the guy's still stuck 1.71 X 10^44 m high up in space.
3. Humans do not rot in space. If the person rotted before he hit the Earth, all the scientists would have been waiting for 1.32 X 10^14 years only to see a skeleton fall smack into the surface of the Earth. Please note that skeletons are generally much lighter than 65kg. The experiment would then be deemed a failure as the change in the weight would generally affect the overall results. This assumption was made inclusive of the above assumptions.
Then, the Earth will move by 1 cm.
